  • As the title itself states, it is a storage for the students only it is centralized in one storage drive. The storage drive will be divided and distributed to the students evenly together with their own accounts which will be provided by the researchers for the meantime. We are currently using a 500GB Hard Drive disk with a target respondents of 20 which means 25GB will be distributed to each of the respondents.

PROCEDURES AND METHODS

Acquisition of Materials

The researchers will gather all the materials needed.  All materials will be bought online.  The materials are: Arduino NFC Receiver, Raspberry Pi 2, Hard disk drive, Wi-fi router, mobile phone, NFC Tag, and Webkey PCBA

Designing the GUI of CSIDS application

The GUI of CSIDS Application will be the only passage of the student to transfer the files and it may be open on an Android Mobile Device. The GUI will be as simple as possible, similar to a Windows file manager but only with an option of sending, receiving, or deleting a file.

Coding of Arduino NFC Receiver

The Arduino NFC Receiver will be the gateway to be connected to the CSIDS through Wireless LAN using NFC tag unique to each Student ID.It will match the student’s credentials to the database that will connect him/her to a storage partition assigned to the student.

Simulation and Testing

The CSIDS Application will be the ground for file transfer of the student from his/her android mobile phone to the CSIDS.  Every registered student id will gain a part from the CSIDS exclusive only to him/her

Employing of CSIDS access to student IDs

NFC tags and Webkey will be employed on the school provided student ID.NFC tags will be used to access CSIDS through Wireless LAN while Webkey will be the pass to access the student’s respective CSIDS through Internet.

Coding of CSIDS application and host storage

For simulation and testing, the CSIDS will be hosted from a Raspberry Pi relayed by a Wi-fi Router as well as uploaded on the internet for on demand access.A simulation of sending and receiving files through NFC Tag and Webkey will be done to detect possible bugs.Testing of the number of users that can access CSIDS simultaneously will also be done to find out the possible limit of access at a time.

Data Gathering

A survey will be conducted to determine the end-user acceptability of the device which are the following: Interface, Compatibility, Functionality, Account’s Security, and Account’s Recovery.A random of 20 Students from 11-STEM will be the respondents. The gathered data will be interpreted base on each’s average rating from one to four with one as highly disagree, two as disagree, three as agree, and four as highly agree.

RISK AND SAFETY

Doing this kind of study, the researchers may have the risk of being electrocuted on the process of assembling the materials and long duration exposed to radiation due to the long period of time being faced on the computer monitor that may lead to visual impairment. The researchers must observe proper time limit being exposed on the computers radiation while doing the application. The researchers should also consider proper practice in using the outlets such as observing for some possible short circuits.
